Navigate Europe 2026 showcases new ways to book, pay for, and expense travel

Plan a trip in Slack. Scan a stack of receipts and talk through the details in one go. Give finance teams a clearer view of spending across more currencies and countries.
These were just some of the new capabilities Navan announced at the Navigate conference in Paris today — new ways to make travel and expense easier to manage, wherever work happens.
Here’s what’s new — and what’s coming soon.

Book business travel in Slack
Many of us spend a good portion of the day in Slack, so booking and managing a business trip in this everyday tool is the logical next step. This enhanced integration extends the promise of Navan Anywhere, which brings Navan’s AI agents and data into the tools people already use.
Travelers can now kick off the trip-planning process by starting a direct message with the Navan agent, which takes them through searching and booking. Because the agent can draw on each traveler’s preferences, past behavior, and rewards, it can surface relevant options while companies retain policy controls and oversight. Travelers can then share trip details and manage their trips through Slack, including accessing Navan support — both AI-powered assistance and human agents.
The upgraded integration is also an asset for admins, who can review expense transactions and ask natural-language questions to access detailed insights into their T&E programs.
Additional channels and capabilities are coming soon, including expense support for users and dedicated admin approval workflows.

Spend globally, manage in one place
Wherever global companies are doing business, we want to enable frictionless T&E. That’s why Navan Payments now issues cards in 15 currencies across 30+ countries, including local card issuing in five new currencies: Australian dollars, Canadian dollars, Danish kroner, Swedish kronor and Polish zlotys.
The ability to spend and settle in local currency — through one card program — can help businesses avoid foreign exchange fees and the complexity of intercompany transfers, while giving finance teams consistent oversight across more regions.
Local card issuing is one part of our broader effort to help global organizations travel confidently, pay in local currencies, and streamline expenses.
New ways to expense: Voice, video, and SMS
We get it: Reimbursements and friction are practically synonymous, which is why we continue to create efficiencies around them. Our latest time-saver: no more photographing receipts one by one.
Navan’s new video scan experience will let employees capture multiple paper receipts in a single session. The video camera will detect and lock onto receipts, help avoid duplicate scans, and extract the merchant, date and total, while employees talk through expense details like participants, descriptions, and more in real time.

Coming soon, Navan is also bringing its AI expense agent to SMS. Travelers will be able to text receipts to match them to card transactions or create new expenses, update custom fields, log mileage, and submit expenses. After a card swipe, Navan can also text travelers about what’s needed for approval — and they can respond in the same conversation to complete missing steps without opening the app for every task.

Handle European expense requirements in chat
We’ve expanded the functionality of another tool that meets employees where they are: Expense Chat now supports tax, itemization, mileage, and per diem — key requirements for European expense programs. For example, an employee can ask Expense Chat to itemize a hotel expense and review its tax details before submitting it.
Employees can describe an expense in chat. The submission flow checks required fields, flags missing information, and validates policy compliance. The result: less manual work for employees, and fewer incomplete submissions for finance teams to resolve during reconciliation and month-end close.

Bring guest expenses into the trip
Flying in an interview candidate or inviting a client to a destination meeting? Your guest’s expense experience should be as seamless as their travel. Companies will soon be able to manage guest travel and reimbursement in one workflow.
How it will work: Guests can submit expenses and track reimbursements in Navan, while admins can set guest-specific policies and identify guest spend in reviews, reports, and exports.
Together, the expanded functionality of these tools reflect a simple idea: People should be able to manage work travel and expenses in the flow of their day, while businesses keep the visibility and controls they need.
