“We had a lot of complaints from our users saying the old travel platform wasn’t very intuitive and was kind of difficult to use,” said Eric Ha, Senior Accounting Manager. “On both the user and admin side, I really care about simplicity, and I just wasn’t seeing that.” 

The company also relied on a traditional expense tool for expense management and a separate tool for P-card transactions. This fragmented approach created friction for employees and inefficiencies for finance and accounting. “It wasn’t efficient for anyone,” said Ha.

Why Navan

When Iterable decided to make a change, usability and policy compliance were top priorities. “I really focused on the experience for users and admins,” said Ha. “On the user side, Navan makes booking travel easy and centralized. On the admin side, I love the dynamic approvals and ability to customize travel policies.”

Since rolling out Navan Expense in 2025, Iterable has seen improvements in both efficiency and employee satisfaction. “Employees really like the auto-approval workflow,” said Senior AP Accountant Yanie Kong. “When they submit something within policy, it gets auto-approved, and the reimbursement process moves much faster than it did with our previous solution.” 

Kong said she saves at least an hour every day managing expenses with Navan versus the old solution, thanks to streamlined visibility and reduced manual tracking. “Previously, we had to go back and calculate what had already been submitted for a specific category,” she said. “Now, with Navan, employees can see exactly what they’ve already submitted and what’s left, which is easier for both sides.”

That ease of use made a big difference for teams that frequently book travel — particularly marketing and executive assistants. “A lot of feedback that I got from our marketing managers and EAs was that they really love Navan,” said Ha. “They find it easy to use and appreciate how seamless it makes the booking process.” The sentiment is reflected in Iterable’s impressive Net Promoter Score (NPS) of +71 for Navan, underscoring its value to employees.
