Before Navan

Before adopting Navan, Amperity relied on Concur for travel bookings and Expensify for expense management. Managing two separate systems created friction for both employees and administrators.

The user experience in both platforms was challenging — booking travel in Concur and submitting expenses in Expensify felt cumbersome and outdated. At the same time, Corazzini’s team faced operational hurdles behind the scenes.

“From an administrative standpoint, it was hard to quickly change policies. There wasn’t much flexibility,” Corazzini explained. Reporting was another major gap. The team lacked robust dashboards and struggled to get a complete, real-time picture of travel spend.

Navan’s reporting capabilities have also given Corazzini and his team deeper, more actionable insight into travel spend.

“Navan’s reporting capabilities are super-beneficial,” Corazzini shared. “I can see what’s being spent within policy and can even get a breakdown by carriers, hotels, and more. It really helps our finance leaders who handle budgeting.”

On the expense management side, automation has delivered meaningful efficiency gains. Thanks to features like auto-approvals and built-in policy enforcement, Corazzini says the Amperity finance team spends around 40% less time reviewing expenses with Navan than with Expensify. The extra bandwidth enables them to focus on higher-value financial planning and analysis.
