What technologies are used?

Type of technology

Description

Cookies

Cookies are small files placed on your browser that enable Navan to function and operate. We use Cookies on our Website and Services to better understand how people use our Website and Services and ensure that they function properly.

Cookies allow us to collect information such as browser type, time spent on the Website and Services, pages visited, language preferences, interactions with our chatbox, and other traffic data. We use the information for security purposes, to power the interactive features of our Website and Services, such as the chatbox, to facilitate navigation, to display information more effectively, and to personalize your experience. We also gather statistical information about use of the Website and Services in order to continually improve their design and functionality, understand how they are used, and assist us with resolving questions regarding them.

We use Cookies on our Website and Services to select which of our advertisements (“ads”) or offers are most likely to appeal to you and display them while you are on our Website. We may also use Cookies or other technologies in online advertising to track responses to our ads.

There are two basic types of Cookies:

• Session Cookies: cookies that are temporarily stored on your computer or terminal device and last only as long as the session

• Persistent Cookies: These Cookies remain on your computer for a longer than a session

Pixel Tags

Pixel tags (also known as web beacons and clear GIFs) may be used to, among other things, track the actions of users of the Website and Services, measure the success of our marketing campaigns, and compile statistics about usage and response rates.

Analytics Cookies

We use Google Analytics, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), a company incorporated and regulated under Irish law (registration number: 368047) with its registered office at Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies, to collect and analyze information about use of our Website and Services, and report on activities and trends. This service may also collect information regarding the use of other websites, apps and online resources.

On this website, we use the extension of IP masking ("IP masking"), i.e. your IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transferred to, and stored in, the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The data will be automatically deleted after 14 months.

If you are a Google account holder and have consented to the personalization of advertising ("Ads Personalization") then Google's services also include reports on the effectiveness of our advertising measures (including cross-device reports), demographics and the interests of our users, as well as functions for cross-device delivery of online advertising. In this case, the legal basis for data processing is your consent to Google (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

You can learn about Google’s practices by going to https://www.google.com/policies/privacy, and exercise the opt-out provided by Google by downloading the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. For more information on the terms of use of Google Analytics, please visit https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/.

We use other third-party analytic cookies to analyze your use of the Website and Services, including the content on which you click while browsing the website, your use of interactive features such as the chatbox, mouse clicks, keystrokes, page source, page ID, error messages, and IP addresses. These cookies are provided by third parties and are used for security purposes, to power interactive features such as the chatbox, to facilitate navigation, to display information more effectively, to personalize your experience, and to develop and improve the performance and design of the Website and Services.

Geolocation

When you use certain features of the Website or Services, we may collect certain information like masked/anonymized IP address, device information, or log information to estimate your location (e.g., city or state) and to offer you an improved user experience and provide you with personalized location-based services, such as identifying nearby hotels, airports, or merchants if you have given your prior consent. For Liquid, you have the option to share location information when uploading receipts. Most mobile devices allow you to control or disable the use of location services for applications in device settings menu.
