AI-ready governance company OneTrust has a significant global footprint, including its headquarters in Atlanta and its largest international hub in Madrid. Because all departments generate a high volume of trips, the company's travel program requires an intuitive user experience, robust administrative controls, and the kind of insights that can optimize opportunities.
That combination proved challenging until OneTrust’s partnership with Navan transformed the company’s travel program. The key: Creating a data-driven operation by trading time-consuming, manual reporting for dynamic, actionable, self-serve insights with Navan’s powerful analytics platform.
Prior to implementing Navan, OneTrust managed travel without a centralized platform. Employees booked travel through whichever consumer website they preferred — with no set parameters — and submitted the expenses. As OneTrust began to scale, this approach made it impossible to achieve the visibility and control necessary to manage costs and uphold compliance across its growing global operations.
“
With Navan, we can replicate the seamless, intuitive experience people are used to having with consumer software applications, which is a necessity for any high-growth tech company. Legacy systems simply cannot meet the expectations of today’s travelers.
Martina Scazzone
Global Travel and Expense Manager
OneTrust chose Navan to gain better visibility and control, and to provide a user-friendly experience that matched the expectations of its employees. “With Navan, we can replicate the seamless, intuitive experience people are used to having with consumer software applications, which is a necessity for any high-growth tech company,” said Martina Scazzone, OneTrust’s global travel and expense program manager. “Legacy systems simply cannot meet the expectations of today’s travelers.”.
For OneTrust’s administrative team, Navan’s agility was a significant draw. “What sets Navan apart for administrators is the intuitive ease of changing configurations,” said Scazzone. “The system is very fluid, allowing us to make quick, necessary adjustments. We now have the benefit of a tool that enables seamless, immediate updates to our program policies on the back end.”
The shift to Navan’s advanced analytics platform revolutionized OneTrust’s reporting process, transforming data collection from a passive task into an active, strategic function focused on driving cost savings and compliance. The company can now take advantage of an interactive, detailed, and highly dynamic reporting environment that saves significant time and allows for deep customization.
“The advanced analytics tool is extremely powerful,” said Scazzone. “It provides access to far more information than our old reports and, critically, it’s fully interactive. We can easily drill into the data as much as needed to get the granular detail that drives our insights.”
Previously, pulling the data together could take an entire day. Now, Scazzone is saving approximately eight hours a month by simply refreshing the data — a process that takes less than two minutes. Additionally, the team’s ability to create personalized dashboards and custom widgets from scratch has allowed them to align the data with their internal rules and configurations. “We were able to construct our own custom tables and graphs, tailoring them precisely to give us better insight based on our internal configurations,” said Emily Nance, OneTrust’s senior manager of procurement. “This self-service capability is what makes the tool so powerful. Navan provided the platform, and we were able to build everything we needed ourselves, without relying on external support.”
“
It's not just the product, it's also the people. If any changes come in the future, I have complete confidence that the Navan team will be able to support us.

Senior Manager, Procurement
For OneTrust, Navan is much more than just a booking tool; it’s a scalable, agile platform that supports global expansion and high-volume travel. And it’s proved essential during the company’s rapid growth, which included opening multiple global entities. This success, said Nance, speaks to more than Navan’s innovative technology. “It's not just the product, it's also the people,” she said. “If any changes come in the future, I have complete confidence that the Navan team will be able to support us.”
