OneDigital, a leading provider of employee benefits, HR, and financial services, initially partnered with Navan to simplify its complex travel management. Before Navan

Before adopting Navan, OneDigital faced several obstacles in managing travel and expense. The organization spent an inordinate amount of time on expense processes, while employees didn’t have a centralized place to book travel. The result: Maintaining uniform tracking and approval processes proved difficult, which led to inefficiencies. 

Additionally, with OneDigital’s previous solution, employees found the expense reporting process cumbersome and time-consuming. “Previously, you would submit your whole month’s worth of expenses, and if one little thing was wrong, it would get rejected and you’d have to do it all over again,” said Dan Strickland, VP of Finance at OneDigital. “With Navan, we save so much time.”.

The finance team also encountered challenges due to limited visibility into the company’s spending. And without a single platform to consolidate travel and expense data, tracking costs and enforcing travel policies became a complex task. This lack of transparency hindered the finance team’s ability to monitor budgets effectively and make informed decisions. 

Why Navan

Initially, OneDigital chose Navan only to simplify its travel management program. As the company ramped up with Navan Travel, employees found value in real-time insights into spend and saw policy compliance improve. The benefits of a unified travel solution quickly became clear. 

So, when it came time to rethink its expense management strategy, OneDigital saw an opportunity to extend its success with Navan’s travel solution. Instead of introducing a separate system, they chose to consolidate both travel and expense management under Navan, creating a fully centralized T&E program.

The company looks forward to further optimizing its travel and expense management strategy by leveraging Navan to predict future travel and expense needs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
