Navan was named to the Business Process Solutions list, which CNBC describes as "companies that offer finance-related and technology-based products and services that aim to assist businesses in enhancing and automating their processes and financial workflows.”

A Rigorous Evaluation Process

The winners’ list was curated with help from independent market research firm Statista. The process of selecting the top fintech companies was exhaustive and rigorous — ensuring that only the best of the best made the cut.

This year’s report identified fintech companies spanning eight different segments. overarching KPIs contributed 40% to the final score, while segment-specific KPIs contributed 60%.

The segment-specific KPIs were derived from two primary research methods:

• Collection of Publicly Available Data Points: Extensive research was conducted to analyze KPIs for over 2,000 eligible companies. This involved scrutinizing publicly available sources such as annual reports, company websites, and media monitoring, ensuring a thorough evaluation of each company's performance in the fintech sector.
• Open Online Application: Over 100 companies were also given the opportunity to submit relevant KPIs through an open online application process. Promoted on the CNBC website, this allowed companies to directly showcase their achievements and innovations.

The companies achieving the highest scores in their respective market segments were recognized as the World’s Top FinTech Companies.
